Microsoft Technical Architect (Copilot & Power Platform)

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect to join a growing UK Microsoft team. This new role will not only lead the technical design and delivery of Microsoft projects but will play a pivotal role in pre-sales activities and shaping the UK Microsoft practice as it grows.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, AI integration, and platform development. This role requires a leader who can drive innovation, ensure the scalability of solutions, and deliver business value through cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand business challenges, translating them into effective technical solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Architectural Blueprints: Create comprehensive architecture blueprints that consider both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, and security.
- Technical Documentation: Produce high-quality architectural documentation including design patterns, integration models, and deployment guides to support development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to co-create impactful solutions.
- Develop Scalable Solutions: Lead the implementation of Microsoft solutions with adherence to best practices, capable of supporting enterprise-grade data volumes and processes.
- End-to-End Technical Leadership: Own the technical solution across the full delivery lifecycle—from discovery and design through to deployment and ongoing support.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing expectations and presenting solution progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Innovation & R&D: Stay current with emerging Microsoft ecosystem advancements, championing innovative ideas and continuous improvement across teams and solutions.
- People Leadership: Manage and mentor team members, supporting career growth and fostering a high-performance, continuous-learning culture.
- Pre-Sales & Business Development: Support commercial teams in shaping and estimating solutions, responding to RFPs, and articulating business value during client engagements.
Professional Experience / Skills
- Demonstrated ability to design and scale enterprise-grade software solutions leveraging Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform, along with a strong grasp of the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including Dynamics Customer Engagement, Azure, and data management platforms.
- Experience in Development for Dynamics CE / Power Platform (Apps, Automate, Pages, BI).
- Solid understanding of cross-domain software architecture including information flows, IT infrastructure, data storage security, governance and cloud environments.
- Proven experience engaging with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and craft technology solutions, with strong communication and interpersonal skills able to convey complex technical ideas and update on progress reports.
- Contribution to or leading pre-sales efforts including client workshops, proposition building, technical proposals, lead generation, and bid support.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, client-facing environments with a proactive, self-starter attitude and strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Experience working in fast-paced project delivery teams, preferably in a consulting or client-facing role, with a proactive attitude and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Desirable certifications: TOGAF, PL-600: Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect.
